THE DIRECT METHOD

Today, I'm going to tell you about the direct method.
It is a reaction to the grammar-translation approach. Its goal is to
learn how to use a foreign language to communicate. All teaching is done in the target language, grammar is taught inductively, there is a focus on speaking and listening, and only useful ‘everyday' language is taught. The direct method has one very basic rule: NO TRANSLATION IS ALLOWED! The message is conveyed directly through use of demonstration and visual aids without the use of the student’s native language. In this method, we focus on the target language and we use a lot of materials.

In here you can watch our video about the direct method; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrzspsPuFlo&feature=youtu.be

MY FIRST EXPERIENCE IN SECOND LIFE

Hello everyone!
This is my avatar in Second Life. I heard it from my teacher. It is an online virtual world. Today, I opened my account and I walked around. It was fun and exciting. I think this game is beneficial for both students and teachers. In generally, students like using  technology. They can improve both their speaking and their listening skills while playing games. Moreover, they can learn about other cultures and they can communicate with  everyone easily. According to my opinion, this is one of the most creative ways of learning by having fun.
